1. STREET CAUSE: “FAILURE IS A DETOUR, NOT A DEAD-END STREET” is the motto of Street Cause.
Street Cause is the largest Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established by students in the state of Andhra Pradesh, with the mission statement “FAILURE IS A DETOUR, NOT A DEAD-END.” STREET is a subcategory. This Unit is primarily concerned with the underprivileged classes of society, such as the elderly, orphans, and street children. This Unit also works on awareness programs such as imparting life skills, health and hygiene, and educating slum children to have a better life. ‘STREET CAUSE CEC UNIT’ provides career counseling to government school and college students based on their interests.
The goal of the ‘STREET CAUSE CEC UNIT’ is to provide services to those in need through actions carried out by the departments listed below.

- Department of Education and
- Orphanages and Old Age Homes Department
Chirala Engineering College Unit actively participated in Chirala Street Cause events.
2. NPTEL COURSE: To improve self-learning skills, students and instructors are encouraged to gain certification in online courses from reputable agencies such as NPTEL, coursera, and others before completing the program.
3. Sahaay: To instill empathy, generosity, kindness, and charity, Sahaay was introduced in our institution. It is a student-led project to assist their less fortunate peers. Students donate willingly, and a corresponding sum is added by management and handed to students in need.
4. Financial Assistance through the Equity Action Plan (EAP): Guidelines in accordance with the equity action plan have been developed to support needy students studying in UG and PG programmes at the institution and belonging to disadvantaged and socioeconomically poorer parts of society. This characteristic is the institution’s distinguishing attribute.

Students in government schools and colleges receive career guidance from the “STREET CAUSE CEC UNIT” depending on their interests.
